They provide warmth for diving in colder waters and still provide enough flexibility to provide freedom of movement. The gloves are lined with smooth silverskin lining so the gloves are nice and comfortable to wear while still being equipped with extra textured material on the palms and fingers to help you maintain the perfect grip.
